Before I became pregnant, my grandmother, who raised me, passed away unexpectedly. Her loss created a significant void, and I didn’t have other close relatives I felt comfortable inviting into my birth space. So, I turned both inward and outward: I immersed myself in research, watched numerous videos, and asked my doctors countless questions about childbirth. As I applied techniques during my first labor, something surprising occurred—I discovered a passion for supporting other women in similar situations. That experience lit a fire in me. I decided to go back to school and learn how to truly support other women. Now, here I am—driven by that same passion—offering the services I wish I had back then.
